Yesterday, the Arkansas General Assembly passed a resolution recognizing the lineworkers who keep the lights on across our state. At the Capitol, crews from around Arkansas were honored for their dedication, professionalism, and the risks they face every day on the job. A group of linemen from Petit Jean Electric was in attendance.
These are the men and women who show up in the toughest conditions, whether it’s ice storms, high winds, or extreme heat. When severe weather hits, they’re among the first to respond, working long hours to restore power and serve their communities.
Vernon “Buddy” Hasten, President and CEO of Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation, summed it up well: “Today and every day these brave individuals are always appreciated.”
