As another school year gets underway, Petit Jean Electric & Petit Jean Fiber 
were proud to spread a little encouragement throughout the communities we serve.
This week, we wrapped up our final Back-to-School Welcome Back event as CTC started its school year on Monday. Over the past several weeks, we’ve enjoyed visiting with students, families, and educators and sharing high fives, smiles, and a few words of affirmation to help kick off the new school year.
This initiative gave us the opportunity to connect with students, families, and educators while sharing something everyone can use: a kind word and a little encouragement.
Starting a new school year can bring excitement, nerves, and plenty of challenges. Sometimes, a simple high five or a few words of affirmation can make a student’s day and remind them that their community is cheering them on.
Throughout our Back-to-School campaign, we enjoyed meeting students and sharing positive messages like:
- Have a Great Year!
- You are Valued!
- You Will Do Great!
- You are Determined!
- You are Amazing!
For us, this campaign was about more than the start of another school year. It was about showing Concern for Community, one of the seven Cooperative Principles that guide Petit Jean Electric.
As a local cooperative, we believe our responsibility goes beyond providing safe and reliable electric service. We are part of these communities, and we want to help them thrive. That means supporting our students, encouraging our schools, and showing up for the people who call our service area home.
A special thank you to everyone who welcomed us, participated, and helped make this year's Back-to-School High Fives a success.
Here's to a great school year filled with learning, growth, new friendships, and plenty of reasons to be proud.
