Petit Jean Electric was proud to participate in the annual Wings & Wheels event held Monday night 
at the Searcy County Airport in Marshall. The family-friendly event is organized by Melissa Smyth, HFA Program Manager at Ozark Opportunities, and has become a favorite community event over the past several years.
Wings & Wheels brings together organizations from across the area to give children and families a hands-on opportunity to explore different types of vehicles and equipment up close. From bucket trucks and fire trucks to ambulances, tractors, airplanes, and heavy equipment, kids were able to climb inside, ask questions, and learn more about the tools used by local workers every day.
Petit Jean Electric brought two of its bucket trucks and enjoyed visiting with families and sharing more about the work linemen do to serve the community. Other participating organizations included the Searcy County Road Department, Searcy County Sheriff’s Office, City of Marshall, FedEx Freight, Parks Wrecker Service, Survival Flight, Searcy County Air Corp, and many others.
One unique part of the event is the first 30 minutes being designated as “quiet time” for children with special needs who may be sensitive to loud sounds. After that, the event came to life with running equipment, vehicle horns, snow cones, face painting, and plenty of excitement for kids of all ages.
Petit Jean Electric is grateful for opportunities like Wings & Wheels that bring communities together and create fun, educational experiences for local families.
