Reading Across America Week Fun!
We had a great time reading to Shirley Elementary's Second graders and South Side Bee Branch Kindergarten and Third graders for Reading Across America Week! The book was “A Lineworker’s Day” by Patrick Wood, and we showed up dressed for the occasion as Lineman Larry and Kilowatt Katie.
It was a fun way to share a little about what lineworkers do and the important role they play in keeping the lights on. We’re not sure who enjoyed it more — the students or us!
