Beginning a new chapter …

On Feb. 28, family, friends and co-workers of Terry Drew gathered together to celebrate his long and faithful career with Petit Jean Electric Cooperative. Terry began his career at Petit Jean on June 22, 1990, and decided after 31 years of service to the members, it was time to retire.

Terry began his career as an apprentice lineman and moved through the line program to become a journeyman lineman. When the opportunity to move to a different position arose, Terry took it. He became the Substation Technician working inside the substation and more with the transmission lines. In 2014, Terry moved into the office as the Member Service Field Representative, and it is from this position that he has retired.

In the last few years, Terry spent many hours on the phone and in members’ homes helping them with energy efficiency. He also spent time in the public promoting Petit Jean Electric. His plans for retirement are to play many hours of golf and spend time on the lake with his family.

Although his stories, wit, knowledge and loyalty will be missed, we here at Petit Jean Electric wish him a long and happy retirement with all the best in this new chapter of life.
