Employees Cheer on Local Students for Back-to-School Warm Welcome
On the first day of school, Petit Jean Electric and Petit Jean Fiber employees gathered at various public schools across the community, greeting children with warm smiles and encouraging words. As the students approached the school doors, they were met with a colorful array of signs bearing messages of positivity and support. From “You are Amazing!” to “Have a Great Year!” — the signs radiated encouragement, helping to ease any first-day jitters.
Our employees, many of whom are parents and/or grandparents themselves, were eager to give back to the community by participating in this initiative. They lined the entrances, offering high-fives and words of motivation to the children as they passed by. The sight of familiar faces from Petit Jean employees added a comforting touch to the start of the school year, reminding the students that their community is behind them, cheering them on as they embark on a new academic journey. The positive energy was contagious, setting a joyful tone for the day ahead.
Our employees demonstrated that their investment in the community goes beyond their day-to-day operations. They see the success of these young students as an integral part to the success of the community as whole. Their presence on this important day was a reminder that the entire community is united in support of our children’s growth, learning and future achievements, and that aligns with one of our seven Cooperative principles, Concern for Community.
